Today's Grace

Father we thank thee for winter.
A renewal awaits your creation
as we wait patiently for the earth to produce new life.
Let's not be wishing away the days
but embracing each one
knowing that they are a gift from you.
Amen

Dear Mrs. Mac,
even though we don't wish away our days, we might wish for a change??

Thank you for the beautiful, truthful poem. We spend so much time 'wishing and hoping' for what isn't, that we miss the beauty and joy in what is.

I've never seen anyone who like winter as much as you. :) Lovely little poem, it is a gift to enjoy each day and not to rush it by.
I get a chuckle every time I read about Nathan wanting the "bee off". :)
Your winter party sound like a lot of fun!

Thank you for leaving such comforting words on my post the other day. Your words are full of wisdom, coming from someone who has lived with so much pain, yet, finds joy and courage to move on! You are a blessing to me!

BUT....like Paul...I'm looking forward (pressing on) to the things ahead --i.e. SUMMER IS COMING! ;)

You sound like a lady after my own heart. Although this winter I haven't embraced it like I usally do.
I tell myself if I could get around like I used to, I would enjoy it more, or maybe I'm just getting old, cause I do enjoy it from the rocking chairs point of view. And I still find it refreshing to step outside and breath in the fresh, cold, crisp air at 20 degrees. Just me, Gramma
