A View From My Mountain Lake

T
his morning brought a quick trip into town before I took charge of my grandson. On the way back Jacob and I took a drive around the still frozen lake. With camera in hand, it was a perfect time for a photo op. He was content to sit in his car seat, while I was able to stop along the shoreline to breath in the frosty air.

Wow! The beauty of Winter. Those ol'Snowbirds don't know what they're missing!

I know what they're missing...sunshine and warm breezes and flip flops, and flowers and bbq's and gardens and sitting on the deck and low heating bills and...that's probably enough, huh?

Oooh, thats a beautiful picture! Just wanted to come by quickly...we had some 'net' problems. tomorrow we leave for our daughter's and its going to be a long cold drive...brrr. Good thing we have heated seats, but our car does not throw heat until you actually get out on the road though. How cruel is that! grin. ~~~My baby violet leaves are doing well. The coleous are rooting and even my scented geranium whose roots look nasty...have sprouted some roots. Hurray! Well, its off to bed I go. Hubby will rise very early and expect me to stagger behind him. I try...grin

I love winter photography! There are so many possibilities that don't exist during summer. Even our recent trip to Yellowstone, was bright, shiny and new! We go there at least twice a year but winter was a first! It was like seeing it with new eyes!

I admire your Spring Cleaning. I'm desperately trying to get Christmas put away and then have my knee surgery next week. My Spring Cleaning is still way off the radar at this point. It's really hard sometimes to get motivated cleaning my OWN house when I do it for other people! Or worse, I wake up feeling motivated only to realize, I can't because I'm expending that same motivation for someone else! UGH! Good for them, bad for me!
