... hopefully before the new President's honeymoon period is over, how much of a chance our nation (under God) will recover economically, morally, and become a strong union. This union has been so fractured between right/left, conservative/liberal ideals that no matter how much waiving a magic wand over the mix, and calling for togetherness and less divisiveness, you can't force opposite magnetic poles together. Left is left and right is right! A democrat can't bring republicans on board just by saying we have to work together with only democratic/liberal ideas. Just not gonna happen. Liberals can't say their ideas are less liberal when they're not.
I think the new V.P. will be an interesting mix with the new Prez. He has caused much rolling of the eyes and bristled up body language from the new Commander In Chief. Time will tell.

i just read a really good post on pilgrim scribblings that tied into the elections etc. ... he was quoting the kingdom blog ? - i haven't been to that blog but he compared the pride of man - to God ... and there was the tower of babel too ... really interesting ...
only God can heal the fractures you speak about ... we have the same in canada - the conservatives vs. liberals ... many issues are also the sin issues verses what God's issues ...
but i think i may be rambling with no clear thought in sight here!
your post was honest ... no fairy dust to sprinkle to make it better ...
blessings on your weekend!
Thank goodness. Seemed I was the only one not in a party mood this week.
Well M&M, I don't have much to say about this post. We are very glad to get George W. back into Texas. We need the tax money he will pay on the $2.1M home he is buying up in Dallas.
He couldn't afford it except he helped cut property taxes for the wealthy home owners (helps out economy??) while he was governor.
Have fun in Paradise, I'll bet you are really rubbing that in up there n the cold and snow! It is good to see your Dad, mine died a couple of years ago and I don't see him anymore.
..
Until I read your posts I came just to tell you that never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, will I get to give Adi a bath in Mrs. Jim's bath tub. Not even in the shower that she uses. :-)
..
Yes, only time will tell. God help us. He's (Obama) already overriding some of the Abortion Laws...but they are always back and forth like a game of tennis...just depends if it's a Democrat or Republican in office. All we can do is pray.
only time will tell... but you do have an idea how it will go. It is righteousness that exalts a nation, and without vision, we perish... unless he... Let's just hope and pray he does. Have a blessed weekend, dear Mrs. Mac.
Mrs. Mac...when i turned on the computer this morning the Comcast (our provider) headline News there is a story of "Withches sweeping Washington DC for Obama"...didn't read it, the headline was creepy enough!
If we really believe in the scripture you quoted in Psalm 22:28 then we must know that the outcome and the dominion does belong to the Lord. That doesn't mean that we sit back uninformed...must be stay informed and pray that God will continue to show mercy and grace on our great land.
Dear Mrs. Mac,
That is such a great verse,
No matter what we think, we must know that it is the Lord that setteth up or taketh down a man.
That is why it is so important to pray for him and for all of those who have the authority over us and for the great countries of USA and Canada!
This is such a good post Mrs. Mac......Love Terry
PS..Miss Patty is right.
We must be informed.
Even the Lord knew what was going on when he spoke of the current affairs
Luke 13:4-5
"Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
