The Happy Home

Here is my little family .. including grandson Jacob ... minus Nathan ... he's with a therapist working on some skills.  Happy at home ... while mom is making dinner nearby.  Engaged with either a book or game .. content!  No TV to distract them while exercising their minds.

A beautiful home it is.
So peaceful and harmoniously.
Reminds mind of the home of my childhood, the glorious fifties.
We did lots of reading, game playing, singing and listening to the wireless.
(In those days the Norwegian radio only sent programs 10 hours a day.
There were a two hours lunch break,
and about 10- 11 ish the day was over and all the listeners were wished a good night.

We had a blessed childhood.
So, I'm sure the Mac's have entered a likewise happy area.

Hi M&M, you are doing great with the no TV program (pun intended)!
Too bad we aren't closer to Nathan, I could be a role model for him. We never had TV all the time I was at home and I grew up (normal??). At least not a crook or a TV addict.

Now, M&M, how do you get the news? I didn't know there were such remote spots in our country without TV of some type.
But really, most TV isn't worth watching. We don't do all that much ourselves.

Continued best wishes and prayers for your program (pun intended again).

I love quiet evenings reading or playing games or just sitting and talking with each other. Although the TV was very much a part of my childhood, so were these other activities. Some of my most memorable moments happened on those quiet evenings AFTER the TV was turned off and the family spent quality time together. I'm so happy this is going well for you and your family!

Love and hugs..............
