Falling Into Autumn

In years past my scrub maple trees began turning red in September. This year they got hit all at once with cold temps in Mid October causing their leaves to turn crispy brown before changing colors. There they stay on the trees ... crunchy .. brown ..leaves not wanting to FALL off. Bare trees with colored leaves swirling around their feet are a much prettier sight than trees with brown crunchy leaves wanting to hang on. OK, I'm done complaining. A few days ago I returned from my trip to Canada. Relax became my middle name. Over the next few days I'll try to post some pictures. For some reason life is getting in the way of my blogging time. I suppose that's OK, but I do miss visiting and writing down my thoughts (as shallow as they are at times ;)

Dear Mrs. Mac,
Forgive my ignorance, but where is this wonderful Lake Okanagan situated?
Such a beautiful Nordic sight with an American twist of grandeur. Even the blue mountains in the background make the lake resemble a long fjord.
Everything in the picture talks of peace and beauty.
I can picture me sitting on the bench, maybe with a woolen shawl over my shoulders, just breathing in the fresh autumn air and not be being, but be.

Sometimes living ones life is more important than blogging one life.
For every thing there is a season.
From Felisol, thinking of you and your family

Girl I have been in the same boat! My blog has taken a hit here lately b/c I have things that are clamoring for my attention., "The tyranny of the urgent" as Chuck Swindoll would say!

Your brown leaves aren't that unusual. Welcome to Texas in the Fall! We don't get the beautiful colors. We have various shades of brown and if it's been a dry summer, we've seen brown since the end of July! Ha Ha!

Can't wait to see your pics!

dear mrs. mac...thank you so much for the beautiful card..all those lovely pictures of friut!
when we lived in my beloved manitoba, in those days fruit was a rare thing but every holloween and at christmas, apples were shipped in from british columbia.
how they came us kids didn't know but come they did.
maybe the air force had something to do with it.
don't feel bad about the leaves.
the red ones, swirling around on the ground probably wish they were the broen ones hanging on to the trees..the grass is always greener on the other side..doncha' know mrs. mac?
hahaha..little do they both know that the snow queen of idaho will soon be covering them with cold white blankets!
glad you are home...love terry
