Distractions

Lately, my life has had many, many distractions. At least I'm hoping that's why my memory is somewhat fragmented. I am multitasking in a few too many directions ... which scares me. Last night I almost burnt the homemade applesauce, the morning before it was my oatmeal. I'm used to a cooktop with gas heat ... not electric coils ... and can't seem to judge the heat up/down time needed for cooking. I wrote a few posts ago about my eyes getting fuzzy ... well, today while meeting with the builder, I kept looking at my "SUPER LARGE" watch and told him, "I have to leave in 20 minutes" ... we were going over the framing of the house, the landscaping, and possible laundry chute for the basement. I know I must have watched the clock for about 30 minutes and was sure about the time ... after I drove away from the property, I noticed the actual time was an hour earlier than I thought. I'm sure once dh returns so will my mind. You know, there's a good reason that God made us a helpmate. Will be soooooooo glad when we again live full time in the same state, same town, and under the same roof :) Hurry back to me dh of mine!

I have no idea how you make it away from your husabnd. When mine comes home at night I fall into his arms exhausted and he pretty much takes over the kids from there.

My oldest daughter was actually making the applesauce ... I was just in charge of cooking it (she was a bit upset I nearly ruined her hard work peeling all those apples) ... it actually tasted good, more like an exotic chutney (big smile) ... I'm really not as stressed as my writing appears ... you get the superconcentrated version (great big smile) ...

Dear Super Woman,
I understand the applesauce, life goes on as normal as possible, even though you aren't in your new home yet. Now the watch with the LARGE numbers..so me.
It's going to be one happy day for everyone when DH is united full time with his family. I know for myself, just my husbands presence makes it all seem "Normal" even if there is chaos around. God said is not not good that man should be alone...or woman..or kids! :)
Enjoy our apple chutney!! Maybe you guys are on to a new recipe!

Oh yes! I know what you mean about desperately needing that helpmeet of mine...I don't think I could do very well with him away all the time...Soon, soon you'll be together again!

You are the busiest and most efficent person I 'know', at least you have a good reason for burning the oatmeal. Besides, every day has so much that needs to be done in it and only one 'us'. Nice picture! Electric stoves are hard to get used to after having the control of gas. I do like the no exposed coil or flame though...with the ceramic cook top.
