Would Everyone Just Take a Number
The past few days have flown by without much pause! My phone rings and no more than two or three words later call waiting beeps the line with the caller ID showing the next in turn for my much needed opinion or info. It's my oldest girl this time asking if I know of a full service car wash. I said, "I don't know of any, why don't you just go to a gas station and ask someone, or carry a yellow pages phone book in your car?" Dh's call is lost with the "flash" button. He is at the notary's office (1400 miles away) to sign a loan doc and needs an to answer some written questions before signing. I haven't even seen the papers yet, so am of no use. Of course, the loan officer is not in today and she want's this stuff signed and Fed-x'd back tonight. I'm multitasking with the land line and cell phones ... both BEEPING with call waiting! Honk, Honk the school bus pulls up, and I must either put Nathan on or take him off the bus. The dog needs to go out, get fed, go potty, get a drink of water ... There's piles of laundry waiting in line to be washed ... then folded, and I'm in the middle of exchanging summer for winter clothes in my youngest son's bedroom. While cleaning out Nathan's drawers, I notice the closet has clothes to sort out too; in and amongst new bedding I have stored still wrapped in the original packages ... this is for the new house. I might just sit down for a short rest ... but must remember to not take a snooze, otherwise youngest will escape once again. I WANT MY MOMMY! Oh, there's a knock at the door, Bye-Bye!
Photo: After the cleaning of Nathan's room. Notice no pictures, toys, etc. He removes everything off the walls or breaks too many things ... I've had to resort to a "bare-bones" room! He even learned that his floor heater vent (once removed) makes a great toy box and trash can!

I have a friend at work that has started telling everyone "hold please" when they start demanding more then she can give of her self. Maybe that's not a bad idea..at least it gets everyone to smile!
I actually like the concept of Nathan's room...no dust collectors to have to clean!! :)
I've actually been working on a blog about life being to busy ~ but here's the irony, I haven't had time to finish it!
Oh my what a day! sounds like crazyville! Hope the weekend is quieter...:)
Praying for your sounds like Much Needed rest.
Oh what a day you've had! I have just paused to pray for you too. You know, about Nathans room....I was surprised at how he takes everything down & apart. Now wouldn't it be nice if he did housework with such determination and enjoyment....grin. just kidding, and a wish/daydream of my own I guess, re/my son! It is true though, the less 'stuff' the easier to clean house. Now, thats a plus! Seriously, if I were half as efficient as you...I'd be proud of myself..= ) When our son was growing up he had asthma to the point where we had to take the curtains down and no carpeting in his room of any kind, plus I had to wipe down the walls weekly. Glad thats over...now the bedrooms are 'stuff' collectors. But, now I know why Mums kitchen table and end tables were a piled up mess. If she put things 'away' she lost track of them, or worse, they just never came to mind again or seldom did. Ahh, I'm getting to that point...not the degree of mess she had but the memory...oh ya!
Breath!! And remember you can't be everything to everyone!
I'm going to start charging my family $ everytime they're too "lazy" to find out information for themselves. My son just called me this morning (and left a message), mind you he's 1400 miles away, "Mom, what time does church start? I've been driving around for 15 minutes trying to find it. Oh, well, thanks for HELPING ME :)" He was calling from my previous town (while he was visiting friends on leave from the Army) and trying to find a church I went to 6 years ago. (I'm glad he was on his way to church:) ... but maybe he should call someone more local or plan the night before by calling information)
Get rid of the dog!
(I know, dog lovers everywhere now hate me).
so sorry you're so stressed. Its so hard to be everything to everybody! Beleive me I know.
