Just Call Me Gramma

I have a secret to share. Of course now it's not a "secret" ... but out there for all to read. After reading Pat's post yesterday about her love for babies, I thought it a good time to claim my soon to be grandmahood status. You know I'll have to post and boast about the new addition sooner or later, so how 'bout sooner? You say when? Well, towards the end of March to be exact. You say from whom, how bout me saying my daughter that got married last year. You say, but she just got married in December, I say ... do the math. Yes, she was expecting before her nuptials, and I must admit I was disappointed in her & him for not waiting until they were married, but that's water under the bridge so to speak. She did have the wherewithal to not move in with her beloved, and to want to make a wrong a right, so I have to give them credit for that smart move. Hence the rush, rush of a shortened engagement. It's to be a grandson. His name is Jacob. Maybe Miss Terry will be so kind as to find out the meaning of his name and get back with me. Excited? Me? Of course!

Photo: Baby Jacob being "knit together" in his mother's womb. He has his mother's nose :)

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth

psalm 139:13-15

Dear Mrs. Mac...I remember that from the Bible Jacob" means "supplanter"...to take the place of another.
Isn't Jacob the man who became Israel?...a true prince of God?

I am so happy for you and for your daughter and son-in-law too.

I have two sisters who are single mothers and I find it so precious that your daughter is married to her sweetheart.

My one sister's boy was saved at a very young age.

Your daughter and son-in-law will surely bring Jacob up in the way that you brought your children up!!

Congratulations!!...Love Terry

ps...Just to think that the Little Gift will be an uncle!!!

As far as math,
NONE of your friends would have been doing math!!
We don't have time, as we are too busy reading each others postings and trying to find even more time to comment..

NOW we are just all excited about seeing those pictures that you will be taking!!.

Yes "Gramma in Waiting" Mac...My roots are in Manitoba and they always will be.
Sometimes I think I left my heart there too!!
I have to get busy and start working on that blog again. I started it after Betty and I went to our 40th school reunion in Rivers Manitoba where my dad was in the air force!

Good night and thank you for you for visiting. I am always glad to see you there........Love Terry

We live 11 miles from Niagara Falls and about 25 miles from the Buffalo-Fort Erie border.....

First of all - kick up the work progress on my room ~ I got me some baby to hold!!!
Congratulations to everyone. A big hats off to you grandma for holding it all together and giving your daughter a beautiful wedding to start a wonderful life together.
Do you prefer Jacob to call me Auntie or Aunt Pat?

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you....

Isn't it a miracle - God knew Jacob before he was formed in the womb - how special is that?!

Aunt Pat will do (lol). And can you just imagine Nathan being an "uncle"??? He's so cute and hugs his sister's tummy and says good-bye to the baby when they leave to go home.

well congratulations!!

What a clear 3-D picture- how neat to see the baby like that!

I had a few 3-D u/s when I was pg with Kayla, but they never came out that clear looking. Her face was always smooshed up against my placenta.

Congratulations!!!

I'm an artist...I don't DO math!

I will be praying for Jacob and his Mommy as she progresses through this pregnancy.

On the day we found out I was pregnant, Brillo Man went to the kitchen and got the olive oil --annointed my belly and began to pray for Olivia. We prayed for her daily and continue to see the results of those prayers to this day!

Olivia - olive oil (hum) I see a connection :)

Congratulations Grandma! How exciting to see a new little life come into the world. It was so thrilling to see our 1st and only grandson make his appearance. We're hoping for more someday... Thanks for leaving me a comment on my 'Nash' add. I thought that was just the coolest add! I think my Dad had a Nash, once upon a time..=)

Praise God, that little Jacob appears so healthy and that he will be born into a family that loves the Lord. Whatever the timing, his mommy and daddy are committed to one another, and we can give such thanks for that!

I'm trying to imagine Mr. Mac as a grandpappy. Somehow it's very easy to see you as a doting Granny.
