Is Your Glass Half Full?

As I sleepilly channel surfed the pre-midnight news last night, a health study documentary caught my interest regarding optimists living on average 7 years longer and having healthier immune systems. Go ahead, check out the link provided and read the scientific results. For a shortened recap go here.

Next time I refer to myself as having a "Pollyanna" spirit ... or even suggest that one of you, my friends, are exhibiting such a trait ... now you know I mean it as a high form of a compliment. How are you at being glad?

Reminds me of Galations 5:22:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

I am glad all over!
Although I have to say I've known of some pretty old grumpy pessimistic people who seem to live forever ~ or maybe it just seems like forever!
You can call me Polly for short! :)

Being glad is like making sunshine from the inside out....I think. Its amazing how 'catchy' it is too. On the other hand, ever get down in the dumps and have your hubby upstage you...groan/grin. That cures me fast enough! I believe optimists live longer...it just makes sense.

Dear Mrs. Mac..There can be no higher compliment than your telling anyone that they have a Pollyanna spirit. It is a nice thing to have. Everything is for a purpose,eh? Especially for the Christian, because the Lord's hand is in it. We may as well enjoy the trip instead of looking for the negative!!...Love Terry

Hi.. Little Gift...Hope you are enjoying the snow!!...
