Sandbox 101

Growing up .. Nathan never really learned how to play in the sandbox and share or interact with other children.  He often kept to himself and played alone .. or parallel played, along side, without much interaction.  Something is changing .. he's now interacting with his new 'best' friend .. his little nephew, Jacob.

They are always competing now .. talking up a storm .. communicating with incomplete sentences or using the IPad app (Proloquo2Go) .. to speak .. remember manners .. share .. be kind.

Nathan's therapist has been encouraging their developing friendship by including Jacob in at least one weekly therapy session.

It's great to see their relationship develop into a friendship; one that will carry them into adulthood .. one day Jacob may even be his big uncles protector.

I thank God for Nathan and for his friendship with Jacob.
(And for the team working to develop this further).

The pictures of the two lads building a gingerbread house are priceless.

I'm just so happy for all of you, and for knowing such great people.

Very sweet. I'm so happy for
Nathan's great strides. He's
coming right along, isn't he?
Jacob is a little blessing.
Shalom!

I love, love, love this post. I can see Gods hand all over Nathan and Jacob! Why do we doubt and worry...God is in control, and what a blessing it is that you've shared it with us!

I love this! God will bless Jacob tremendously through this relationship with his Uncle. It's obviously already blessing Nathan! We have no idea of how God will use their relationship in the future but I see wonderful things ahead!
Love, Connie
