In Need Of Rest?

Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Exodus 20:9-11

Perfect post. It seems like I don't take any time to rest. I was going to the grocery store and I realized there is nothing I need that can't wait till another day. Sometimes "busy" is a habit that needs to be addressed!

Hello, Mrs. Mac! You and I seem to visit the same blogs, so I thought I'd stop in and say hello! I love your blog. So sorry your DAWG is eating your strawberries. ;-( At least he has good taste. :-)

Blessings to you!

You guys wouldn't have written such nice comments if you had known how Mrs. Mac punished that Dawg...Way too cruel, but I can't tell you. I don't squeal on my friends. Nope! "Mums" the word. The only way you will know is if she 'fesses up!
I have warned her that I am going to email to the poor Dawg a Canadian Big Mac [hmmm....'scuse my use of the word Mac!]
I think along with that Big Mac I will also send her over a strawberry sundae with plenty of Southern Ontario strawberries just smothering it!...Mrs Mac can lick out the bowl after!....Love Terry

Miss Terry, you are such a back handed snitcher ;) .. OK, I'll fess up about the dog: After she was seen eating my much awaited strawberries, I tied her up and ate Kentucky Fried Chicken in front of her. It was finger lickin' good ... and she was a'drooling. Tonight, though she gets chicken scraps for a treat ... I'm so nice to her ;)

Now I did no such thing Mrs. Mac.
I never did a bit of snitching! I left it up to your own conscience!
It is the dead of night and my soul so aches for that poor neglected Dawgie that I wondered if you had given her a bit of pity. So I got me out of bed to check on the situation.
Well I see here that you have shown her a bit of kindness....chicken scraps are good but I do hope you didn't give her the bones...very, very dangerous Mrs. Mac!
Now I can get ME some rest, and isn't strawberry season just about over?
That Dawg will not be doing you any more harm....Love Terry

PS...This whole "stealing the strawberries" situation got me to thinking that the little Gift taught that Dawg everything she knows about swiping food.
Remember what that little breakfast thief did to YOU!!!....Ha!!!

I do think practicing a day of rest could save our sanity.
Of course I think true "resting" and "being" is a re-learned art.
We seem grow away from the ability to relax as we grow up!
I do miss the days when most business stopped on the Sabbath. When we first moved to a small town in south Arkansas (1960's) shops were closed on Wednesday afternoon as well.

God makes no mistakes...He's so good to cling too and obey. Did you click over & see the fun mobile I linked to? I'm wanting to make one..I've got an empty alum.foil roll and 2 tp rolls to work with. I need to get to bed but...wanted to check ebay for a drum carder. Hubby's cousin sheared some sheep and gave me a huge bag of wool...oh happy day! I know how neglected collage and scrapbooking can be and you are really busy I know. Its been several weeks since I crafted..but its time..grin. Hope to sew a simple top tomorrow & make a zany-fun mobile?!
