Politicians From The Looney Bin

It amazes me how people get elected to public office. Take for example the following news stories about two politicians way, way, way left of center.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Bavaria's most glamorous politician -- a flame-haired motorcyclist who helped bring down state premier Edmund Stoiber -- has shocked the Catholic state in Germany by suggesting marriage should last just 7 years.

And then there's the nutty senator from Nebraska that wants to sue God. I wonder if he was mildly surprised when a written response from "God" appeared on the court house counter.

LINCOLN, Neb. - A legislator who filed a lawsuit against God has gotten something he might not have expected: a response. One of two court filings from "God" came Wednesday under otherworldly circumstances, according to John Friend, clerk of the Douglas County District Court in Omaha.

I hope these people get booted out of office for such nonsense.

Have a nice weekend.

Who is electing these people? It certainly isn't people like you and I. All joking aside, it really is something to be concerned about - and I have to admit to being miffed when people tell me they just didn't feel like voting. These people should be in padded rooms - not holding office.

Me again - hey, how did the shopping go? Are your closets now bursting with winter clothes?

Pat, I had an amazing shopping experience which is rare. I went to Macy's and everything I tried on fit so I bought everything ;) Two slacks, two jackets, two long sleeve tops, one vest, one pair of shoes. Most items were on sale ... then I remembered I had a 20% off coupon for any and all purchases made in one day. They I headed over to TJMaxx and got new winter gloves, two scarves, a pair of stretchy pull on tennis shoes, and a new purse.

I read something funny the other day, the guy explained why he didn't make politcal jokes...

"The problem with political jokes is they get elected."

Isn't that funny and sadly true?

What a major haul you had on your shopping trip, way to go! I can't find a new purse I like to save my life. I have to say, my last and current purse came from TJ Maxx..love that store, and I used to work there many moons ago.

firstly; i'm weirdly enjoying your shopping success. i am not only living vicariously but apparently need a new hobby or something.
secondly, i remain convinced that most politicians are idiots. how's that for insight?

and another thing; i too hate purses. i found one recently that i am rather enjoying though. i am forever in search of a purse that is dressy/casual and will match black or brown. and be cheap. and fabulous. so at kohl's i purchased a $20 (on sale, still overpriced) squarish, short handled, patch worky looking things that is deep browns, blacks and burgundies. i am not sure why i feel you need to know this.
i also ordered a pair of cowboy boots on amazon yesterday having decided it's exactly what i need to be fashionable yet, well, just fashionable i guess.
there you have it.

consider yourself tested.

i hope you were negative and/or positive; whichever works out best for ya. i guess you needn't be overly alarmed until Jesus comments "just testing."

I was testing anonymously because a friend was/is not able to comment this way.

Just stopping by to say hello. I'm thankful God will always be our refuge. Politicians can be scary!
