Instilling A Love For Cooking & Healthy Eating

... with your children.

Nathan is at it again .. learning how to cook!  He so loves to crack eggs, stir them with milk and make him some good eats (French toast) from the kitchen.  If you have a picky eater .. try including them in the cooking .. or growing/gardening process to make healthy food choices more personal.  We are looking forward to the 'dirty' work in the garden now that winter is almost a memory :)

Some of my best childhood memories are of being in the kitchen with Momma and learning how to cook. I wish I could enjoy it now as much as I did then.

Nathan looks like he's having a great time!

Many hugs.......

We took our "rent a kids" out to breakfast last week. I'd learned the 4 YO likes veggies, so i ordered a plate of some raw veggies for him. Also ordered were pancakes.

He kept at the veggies & made not much of a dent in the pancakes. His older brother kept saying, "J, eat your pancakes!"

I said, "Forget the pancakes, let him eat those good veggies!"

I wish i liked them more, have to kind of make myself go at them. Maybe if i get the kids to help me grow them this year, we will all eat them better? :)

Stopping by to say hi. I've been bad at keeping up with blog reading, but always enjoy your posts at FB.

Dear Mrs. Mac,
what delight to read a post about joyful, normal things.
Young Nathan building new stones of progress on his life's building.
A particular beautiful picture, captured by his Mom?
Greetings from Felisol

I can't imagine what it must have been like for you, but you never complained... and now little Nathan is fast growing up. Now he's cooking already... what progress. What love and patience can do, dear Mrs. Mac... I have really been encouraged by you.

Please wish Nathan a big Happy Birthday from sunny FL.

It is so neat to see him growing as he learns living in each and every day that he is blessed with.
