RIP Miss Holly

Nathan and his faithful companion, Miss Holly
I just went to check on my beloved Miss Holly (the dawg) and found she had passed away in her sleep.  Old age crept upon her with a heavy hand this year; first with a liver ailment .. then springing back to life, and now this autumn with aches and pains from the arrival of cold weather.  She passed with a little labored breathing that I thought was just snoring.  Just yesterday she was running around in the yard with a little gusto.  But .. she labored getting up and down.  Much love she gave, only asking for food and shelter.  My heart is filled with many happy memories that will keep me warm through the grieving period.  Rest in peace my beloved friend.  Good night.

Love,

Mamma

dear friend and sister... my heart goes out to you. Being a certified dog lover myself, I know how it feels to lose a beloved dog.

May God comfort you in this your season of loss.

I believe that dogs go to heaven... all dog lovers believe that. You will see him again someday.

Much love

Cathy, I am so sorry. We love our little furbabies so intensely and they quickly become members of our families. The grieving is minimally different than losing other loved ones. Please know my heart and my prayers are with you and your family as you grieve the loss of your precious Holly.

Many hugs.........

My sympathy to you & your family, especially Nathan. When our daughter's parakeet passed away it was just the saddest time. Those happy memories sound so wonderful. And your picture is precious of Nathan & Miss Holly.

Heartfelt sympathy, Mrs. Mac. We mourn our friends who have gone-on, too.

Here's a tribute on my blog:

Oh Mr. Mac! I know you all are hurting by you loss. Miss Holly had become an old dog and like our vet tells us about Adi, it is only a matter of time. Guess we humans are like that too.

I am sure that Nathan misses her very much. It is hard to explain to kids.

Mrs. Mac,

It is always sad for me to read of the passing of one's family member...(we consider our pets...family members, as they share a part of our daily lives).

There are no words to write that ease the empty space they leave in our lives. I know it can be hard.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs!
Kris
