An Early Christmas Vacation

The schools are closed again today ... so now we are officially in Christmas Vacation mode. Sleeping in until 8:00 A.M. and getting dressed at noon. I just hope neighbors don't drop by unexpected before I am put together.
Christmas! 'Tis the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial fire of charity in the heart.

Our schools were closed today too. Enjoy your Christmas break and the opportunity to snooze a little longer.
My shopping is done and I've no reason to leave the house - and it feels good. My heart went out to all those who had to fight the snow to get to work this morning, glad those days are in the past for me.

As Pat said we had a snow day too! Since my Kell works for the Schools and is now off for Christmas break, that means I too will get to sleep in and lounge a little longer over my coffee!
I love the snow!

Since I don't have to get out in it, I too like the snow. I can't imagine 32 inches of the stuff...it sure must be pretty though. My husband calls it 'white fungus'.

Dear Mrs. Mac,
sounds like you are having the kind of Christmas Holiday Bing Crosby was dreaming about.
How very fortunate that dreams come true, thanks to the Lord and your hard work.
Hope you have a thick morning gown.

Gee Mrs. Mac!
What ever happened to the good old days when we children used to have to walk three miles in a blizzard to get to school?
Snow Days? Whoever would of thought of such a thing!
And what about the days when the postman would deliver the mail.."through rain or sleet or hail or snow"?

No thanks for all of the snow you sent our way either Idaho Snow Queen....Love Terry

Miss Terry, My children live a minimum of eleven miles away from school; we're country bumkins not city folk. And speaking of the mail, I was interrupted a minute ago (on a Sunday morning) by a doorbell ring. Still in my PJ's I was hesitant to answer ... but low and behold there was a package on the doormat from FEDEX delivery. The driver was not in a delivery truck, but a smallish four wheel drive personal car. This surprised me. You can't blame me for all of your snow ... this originated somewhere above you in the Arctic. Hugs and stay warm.
