A Pet For Sara

My friend Sara (in Michigan) recently said goodbye to her elderly dog and is on the hunt for a new pooch, cat, lamb, or something to love that her husband will "adopt" into the family. I have a doe that frequents my yard almost daily. She's well trained (so far) and only eats the weeds. The newly planted "deer resistant" plants seem not to be bothered by her. Today I found her taking a nap (resting) in the shady part of the front lawn. She doesn't seem too old, is not afraid of Miss Holly, and has beautiful brown eyes. Sara, she's up for adoption, please send her a ticket and some food if the Mr. says yes ;) Be sure to go to Sara's and vote on a name for her new pet.

Frankly My Deer shall be her name indeed. Her bags are already packed, and she'll be shipped off tomorrow. Good luck to all concerned.

How perfect!!!
I love Frankly deer and its such a fitting name. I'm sure she would do well on trips to the cottage - she could graze to her hearts content and blend in with the locals. Actually I think she may be a cut above the locals!
I can't wait for her arrival!

Hello Mrs. Mac's mom! I don't believe Sara needs frankly and friends, but knowing her and her love of animals I can't be sure. You're very kind to offer though, generosity seems to run in the family!!

OK ... we really need to come up with a better name for my mom than "Mrs. Mac's mom" I'm gonna "out" her alter ego name: Buffy.

Hey Buffy (aka Mrs. Mac's mom), happy to see you posting as anonymous. When you come for a visit later this month, I'll help you get your own official blog account, OK.

I'm impressed that Buffy (aaak, oops, I meant aka Mrs. Mac's Mom) is kind enough to leave a comment AND offer up a play mate for Frankly deer.
How's that yummy Jacob doing? I'm so jealous.
