I'm So Over Technology!

Give me the good old days with party line rotary dial phones!  No computers sucking the life out of my brain!  Actually .. a couple of tin cans and some string would be a big improvement to what we've had as phone and internet service of late.  Living in the mountains has it's plus sides .. and it's drawbacks .. technology here is dismal at best!

To counter the fried brain and pulled out hair, I've been ripping through the underbrush in the backyard to help reduce fire fuel.  My chainsaw and metal blade shrub cutter buzzed and sawed for several hours today .. and now I have a big mess to clean up ... but the mental tension is gone!

After seriously considering smashing my not so smart phone .. and dropping my brand new laptop computer out the second story window, I paused for reflection and decided I'd be a grown up and just take a moment to pray.  Walk away from the (junk) problem .. sit on the front porch rocker, water my flowers .. and tease the cat with some cat mint .. gather my composure .. reenter the house with all of the techie gadgets on the fritz .. only to find out that they are now working ... HUH!  My computer service is working (fingers crossed) .. and I updated a software on my telephone antenna .. that restored my home phone service ... All I needed to do was to remember to give my problems to God .. how could I forget that???

Oh, if we would only remember to give Him all of our problems as soon as they pop-up, or even before as in the case of 'worry'.

Glad things are working for you now.

Have a lovely weekend ~ FlowerLady

Tech stuff has us spoiled.....love it when its good and hate it when it lets us down. Like you said....down time is what we need to go to the Lord....anyway!

For sure God gives us patience in dealing with the electronic monsters. I am not sure He messes with computers but I suppose He could.

I like your idea of the hearts you see reminding you of your little granddaughter that didn't make it.

I know that still hurts. Somehow I didn't know before.

Hi long time friends .. thanks for visiting. Nice to hear from each of you. Now if I don't sneeze, my internet just might be up and running today. Have a blessed Lord's Day.

Self Control is a Fruit Of The Spirit and you put it into practice...good for you! Pray that everything is still up and running. My Brother, has the same problem in Tennessee...he has to go into his bedroom, to a certain spot to get reception on his cell phone some days. That's life in the country. I miss you!
