Life Takes a Different Turn ...

sometimes.

This has been a tough summer.  My oldest daughter and her husband are expecting their second baby .. a little girl named Rowan .. that has a severe heart defect.  She will need several surgeries and who knows what all procedures after she is born.  I'm stepping back and watching my daughter become this very calm, wise mom that is putting her priorities and house in order to take the best possible care of her growing family.  All I can say is that I'm sitting on the side lines and watching in awe as God leads this little family and helps to strengthen them for the rough ride ahead.

Dear Mrs. Mac,
Life is unpredictable period.
We'd so like to think we own the time and can plan far ahead. What God is showing is, "My times are in Thy hand;"Psalm 31:16.
These days I find that very comforting.
Rowan must be very special, being brought in front of the Lord even before she is born.
Like Lidj's Full of Hope.
I am of course praying.

Dear Mrs. Mac ~ Even when we are thrust into difficult times, God is continually with us. How wonderful to be able to see your daughter growing in calmness as she loves and prepares for her new little daughter, Rowan, with lots of love and grace from her Heavenly Father.

Love, hugs and prayers for your daughter and her little family, and for you and your family too.

Sitting on the sidelines can be very difficult, but when you know that God is in control, the load of doubt and fear is lightened by His loving hands.
Your daughter has the most wonderful examples of parenting from you and your husband, and I continue to pray for little Rowan as God knits her awesome little body while in her mothers womb.

I am so thankful to have become your sister/friend. Your quiet spirit speaks volumns for the peace of the Lord, even under the most trying of circumstances. Continuing to pray for little Rowan and for her Mommy and Daddy and all of your family. I am so thankful God only allows us to see life in snippets as it occurs. I fear we could not deal with the whole picture, so He gives us intimate opportunities to know Him better by revealing His plan a bit at a time. I love you, my sister, and I am praying...........

Many hugs..........

Hi M&M ~~ I was sorry to hear that there will be problems getting your newest grandchild started off in life.

I know you all are soooooo thankful that Rowan is coming and EVERYONE is praying for her and for you all. That includes me.

It is hard to realize that God allows these kinds of troubles for His children but it is in His plan, not only for Rowan, but for us. Every prayer we say for her and for the family strenghthens our faith and our love for God. Rowan is special with God and will be special with us as well.

May God continue to bless her and be with her in her growth and development. May He be with you all as well in your 'sitting and watching in awe.'

My Darling Daughter - You are a wonderful example to your daughter as she navigates this path God has chosen for her. May He continue to bless her with courage and strength, and contentment in knowing she is not alone. Your dad and I keep her in our daily prayers and our church family is holding her in their hearts and prayers. We love you all, Mom & Dad

Life is so difficult, as Felisol has siad...but these are the trials that grow us and our faith and cause us to fall into the arms of our Lord. I know that God has his hand on Rowan and her mommy and daddy...and her nana too. hugs!

God is answering every prayer even before the prayers are offered to heaven. And He is building strength into your daughter and her husband, in preparation for the coming birth of Rowan. May God surround you with peace and deepen your faith. He will never leave you or forsake you.

Love
Lidj

We will be praying for Rowan also, and your family. They can do such amazing surgeries now, and God makes no mistakes, a elderly Christian in our former church once told me on one of the saddest days in my life. I found her words to be true, and rested in God as we did what your family is doing. Just taking things one day at a time. We will be praying and I will put Rowan on our church's prayer list if that is ok with you.

Re/knitting....good for you, taking a class. I love to learn things hands on! A hat and texting mitts both, wow. I was hoping you'd posted a picture. Its such fun to accomplish knitting something, isn't it. I've got gorgeous long haired Borderleicster to spin and I'm knitting a scarf thats a series of triangles. ( My Monday knitting group has really spurred me on, and the help the ladies give one another is invaluable)
