It's nearly summer ... and here we are dining on a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup! I know, in all things give thanks ... and we are thankful for our food, and rain, and possible snow that's predicted ... but it's almost summer! So while you enjoy your heatwave, we are still using umbrellas, raincoats, boots, coats, heaters, etc. Enjoy your ice cream ... now I'm off to make hot cocoa.

You're kidding! really, its hard to believe....we are sweltering! Your soup looks delish! Hope you've had a good day...smile.
it's raining here too ... and that soup looks yummy!
So sorry but I am having tropuble mustering up some sympathy! Ha Ha! We're supposed to hit 94 today and the humidity is pretty high making it a sticky day. The idea of rain sounds good to me. I'm sure if I were in your shoes I'd be ready for summer as well. I don't know why I would think Chicken Soup is strange, I'm making chili tomorrow! I have a full work day and chili is a great crock pot dinner!
Enjoy your cocoa! In fact, make sure you use that "squirty" whipped cream on top!

I 'd love that soup, and a gallon of iced tea to follow.
I was just thinking about making soup and how it stops during the summer. I could eat it year round, but I am enjoying my warm weather, with or without soup.
Dear Mrs. Mac.
I could eat that soup by the looks of it on the hottest day of summer...Oh it looks sooo good.
Maybe I will make a pot of it myself!!
I will just use your recipe Mrs. Mac from your "Cooking Previews"....Yummy!!
Sorry about all the rain you are having. We are having a fair bit ourselves here in Southern Ontario but I prefer the rain to snow any day of the week, you know THAT Mrs. Mac!
I have been buys making CDs for Grampa Yade. He tells a stories on cassette tape and then we download them and make CDs out of them .
Then Bernie designs the CD insets and I design the covers page. The easiest part is printing everything out and putting them all together. The longest part is downloading them because you have to listen to all the stories which I don't mind of course but it takes a lot of time away form everything else!
Well I will stop my complaining and get back to work, but when Bernie gets home we are going to have to go shopping for ingredients to make that good chicken soup!!!!Love Terry
Hi M&M! Why don't you just thicken that 'soup' a little more and call it 'stew?' You can eat stew any day.
I have some beans, ground beef (frozen now), various tomato products, and seasoning in the pantry here. I bought them for chili on a nice cold day and guess what? We didn't have any cold days last winter.
I chalk it up to global warming. All this rain, the cold and long winter up north and the violent storms in the midwest also I will blame on global warming.
..
I had to laugh - I WAS eating ice cream when I read your post last night!! :)
It's been in the 100s here since the last few days of May - yuck! I'll trade ya :)
it is always a good time to eat soup. that's in the bible.
So sorry...:(
