Here it is nearly 1:00 PM and I'm still in my pajamas. The weather is cloudy and I am enjoying the leisurely time spent sipping coffee, eating homemade waffles (after grinding the wheat .. of course), fresh thick bacon from the piggy we bought at the fair .. sizzled crisp .. and watching a few cooking shows for inspiration. America's Test Kitchen (Cooks Country) featured St. Louis style pork steaks that I'm going to search the internet and find the recipe.
Granny Day Care is closed this coming week .. that means I'm in vacation mode and can eat bon bons, pick up and go shopping at any hour of the day, or just bask in homemaker's bliss. With Christmas just around the corner, I'll probably finish up shopping and drag out the decoration boxes (with Mr. Mac's help) from the storage room.
Well, perhaps I should figure out what new recipe I'm going to invent with Thanksgiving leftovers.
See you around blogland.

That all sounds good to me. We have the tree up but not decorated and I am tired already...lol.
Dear Mrs. Mac,
Life is good those hazy, but not lazy days of November. Still time to pick and choose activities, still always something useful and interesting to do.
I'm so impressed with you food production, I'm lost for words.
The only one I know of, who is up to your standards is my mother, but her working days are mostly over now.
She still does some knitting and crouching though. But slowly, oh, so slowly.
For every season there is a time.
Tomorrow is first Sunday of advent and we'll lit our first candle.
I've placed Bethlehem stars and advent sticks in the windows.
That's how long I've come. The tidying up before decorating takes lot of energy, and is not funny at all.
i love pj days!!! after church today, it just be one!
Hi Mrs Mac, Thanks for visiting my blog. I've had a look around your posts re Nathan and I'm very impressed with your skills. You are doing a great job and Nathan is definitely getting the benefit of your ability to address issues as they come up. We are blessed with our son as well. I just get despondent at the lack of help. I always thought we lived in 'The Lucky Country' and that our kids would get all the help they needed. It's sad and frustrating to find out that is not how it works.
I'm a little envious of your blog today! Sounds lovely! Enjoy your break.
Have a good relaxed week Mrs Mac
I had a day like yours yesterday.
It is no funny when a person is feeling punky.
