Meet MUFF

.... the moose. He was spotted this morning out our back door. Nathan thought Muff would be a nice name for the critter. Three hours later he/it was still chomping on the bare trees out back. Last I saw of him he was hanging around my bedroom's sliding door; this meant I had to work in the front yard.

Better watch it, M&M, those mooses (meese??) can get onery and hurt you or others. I would poison him.

I am glad you had a taste of Texas spring yesterday. Nice, huh?

Happy Easter!
..
(I wouldn't poison any animal. Sorry if it bothered you. I wouldn't shoot any either.)

I am SO jealous! I have a healthy respect for these HUGE animals but Moose are my favorite! I can't imagine looking out and seeing that! I remember in 2005 we were crossing the border form Alberta back into Montana and a HUGE Bull Moose come up out of the woods and run right in front of our van! Dave was only going 35mph but still had to break hard! All of our camping gear slid forward, I said the "oh shoot" word and before we could blink our eyes, it had disappeared!! I couldn't believe how fast something so gangly looking is!

Oh, Bentley would have a field day barking at Muff!!

...all he has are the dozens of "guouski" (that's the word verification for this post - which would be Polish for Goose - pronounced "goose-ski".)

How cool! I would love to look out my window (and stay inside the house) and see that big 'ol moose outside. Who needs to rent a movie when you have nature to entertain you? You're very blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

Deb,
I wonder if guouski like pierogies?

How majestic and beautiful he is. But why not...God created him. Wow..I'm impressed. I've never seen a moose. I hope you are feeling better now. There is still so much illness spreading around. I'd better call it a day...I just had my nightly go-round with 'bookworm'pc word game which I bought and really like.

Dear Mrs. Mac,
queen of the last frontier!
You are living in a wonder.
No wonder you can stand some snow and winter to be that in pact with nature.
I have seen a moose running over fences and fields to reach the woodlands. it was a sight I'll never forget. Such an easy elegance.
Hope the snow has melted away this Easter and that you once more are eager out in your garden.
The muff will hopefully find food deep in the woods!

OMGosh! I was just going to comment on your top post how I didn't think there are any moose in your area!

Great photos! Good thing you were able to photo from a distance as, yes, I understand they can be as dangerous as a bear.

You have the life, Mrs. Mac!
